Fifty further teams have now come off the wait list and confirmed their entry with their team’s payment, taking the 2017 Spirited Women – All Women’s Adventure Race event in Taupo up to 300 teams (1200 women entrants) – the event capacity. Taupo will not know what hits them next April… it’s going to be wild.
A non-payment registration of interest wait-list form is running and growing by the day. So if you or anyone you know is keen to enter a team and compete in the 2017 Spirited Women – All Women’s Adventure Race in Taupo, we advise you get onto this ASAP. If we get any withdrawals we will be rolling down the waitlist and will do our best to accomodate you.
NOTE: If you do not have all your team mates confirmed or all their entry details at hand you can write ‘TBC’ in any unknown text fields or ‘1234’ in any unknown number fields to ensure you get a waitlist spot.

The Long Course Training Programme is 20 Weeks in duration, the Medium Course Training Programme is 16 Weeks in duration and the Short Course Training Programme is 12 Weeks in duration. Training Tips start from the end of the month.

COACHING WEBINARS AND SKILLS TRAINING SESSIONS START IN THE NEW YEAR
James Kuegler Coaching teams up with Victoria Stuart from StarBoard/SUPSNZ and Rachel Smith from Navigation North to bring a series of more interactive coaching webinars and skills training sessions in the new year.

Bookings for these will be available on the event Website and advertised on the event Facebook page as soon as they open. A small fee (TBC) will apply per event.
NAVIGATION CLINICS AND ROGAINES – Auckland and Central North Island
Rachel Smith of Navigation North and Orienteering Bay of Plenty will be running some skills based navigation and adventure racing clinics. The clinics run for 2 ½ hours and will include basic map skills including reading and understanding, using a compass, route choice and map preparation, team work as well as other adventure race specific skills. Each clinic will be followed by a 2hr Rogaine on a nearby area (note: more experienced teams can just come along to do the Rogaine, but will still need to register). There are limited spots available for each clinic so register early for a place.

Navigation/Adventure race skills clinic – 9.30am-12pm
Rogaine (2hrs) – 1-3pm (Must be in team of 2 or more)

FUNDRAISE TO HELP MOVE OVER CANCER & WIN
The Spirited Women Adventure Race has formed a relationship with PINC & STEEL – Cancer Rehabilitation Trust.
The PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Programs provide individualised, prescribed rehabilitation to women and men diagnosed with cancer; helping them heal as well as possible, and function at optimal levels through every stage of their treatment and recovery. They are specifically designed to help maximize recovery, regain physical and emotional strength, and improve body confidence and control.
