The Sixth edition of the North Island Spirited Women — All Women’s Adventure Race will be held in the Central Hawke’s Bay District on Friday 30th September – Sunday 2nd October 2022.

Central Hawke’s Bay runs from Pukehou in the North to Takapau in the South, and spans from the Ruahine Ranges to the Pacific Coast. Central Hawke’s Bay is well known for its impressive natural landscapes, beaches, fishing and diving, golf, cycling, and bush walks. A treasure trove of historic villages and majestic homesteads, boutique shopping and charming wineries, as well as some of New Zealand’s most spectacular countryside, Central Hawke’s Bay is a gem waiting to be discovered.

This corner of New Zealand’s Food and Wine Country blossoms with each season. Visit during the spring to see lambs frolicking and daffodils bloom; during summer to explore the Tukituki Trails and miles of pristine coastline; come in autumn to see the exquisite splendour of the changing leaves at the region’s historic homesteads; or in winter hunt for truffles before settling fireside in luxury accommodation.

Dispersed throughout these stunning landscapes are towns and villages filled with everything from eclectic antique stores and fine art galleries to seaside villages where you can buy the best paua pie around. Enjoy Central Hawke’s Bay at a relaxed pace, sipping award winning local wines and beautiful produce or take it at a higher intensity and enjoy some of our excellent walking and tramping tracks, mountain biking and cycling, wake boarding or cable boarding.

The event registration/expo will take place at the Havelock North Function Centre and the Awards Ceremony will be held at the Mitre 10 Park Athletics Stadium. Anyone choosing to stay in either Hastings City/Havelock North or Central Hawke’s Bay District (from Waipukurau to the North of the District) will be in easy driving distance from both the event location and the pre/post event activity.
